Information and Basic Pricing on our Beaded Tack
There are hundreds of bead colors and types available. Beadwork may be done with plastic or glass beads. Plastic beads typically have a matte or pearlescent tone to them and are the most durable. Glass beads have more shimmer and shine. They are available in a variety of colors and tones and will often be silver lined to add that extra bit of sparkle. Glass beads are more delicate than plastic beads, but are still very durable - especially when stitched and bonded properly. Please note, any bead can be broken if it sustains a direct impact. Our style of beading does allow for individual beads to be replaced without difficulty. Our beading is double hand stitched, bonded and sealed to suede or deerskin before being inlayed or wrapped over our leather headstalls. This makes our beading very durable and it won’t fall apart like tack where the beads are simply glued on. The suede and deerskin backing on the wrapped beadwork is very durable and provides for a comfortable fit for your horse, as the beadwork will not rub their hair.
